The clock strikes 12:00 noon and a reminder goes off on my phone. It reads, “Love Everyone, Love Everything”. I have this specific reminder diligently set for every day and it certainly aids me in creating the mindset that I always want to have.
I want to perceive people for who they are; not for what they look like or what other people say about them.
This really is quite simple, extending unwavering love to everyone that we meet. Paralleling to the basic concept that we all learned back in grammar school, “Treat others the way that you want to be treated”! Even more so beyond this conventional impression, it’s so easy, so natural, to be there for someone else. Most of the time this takes form in small acts of kindness and service:
A friendly smile.
Opening a door.
Starting a sincere conversation in passing.
Going out of your way to assist another.
Sacrificing your time.
Sharing a skill (especially creativity!!)
I wholeheartedly believe that love is the wisest and most beneficial use of our time, effort, and talents. Supporting one another, more relevant to this post, loving one another is what our hearts, our minds, even our hands were built to carry out.
A final thought. Often when we are regarded with something less than love, we react irrationally with less than love. We never know all the events or circumstances that prompt these interactions.
We are imperfect and this is a TASK, but it is something that comes with time and self-awareness!
What kinds of reminders do you set? What are your thoughts on this subject? How do you love others? love yourself? Let me know 🙂
Have an especially peachy thursday my sweet friend!
