LOZA.

Danielle and I are always venturing to find these wonderful little spots around the central valley of California.

We had made our way down to Turlock on a slower January morning, intending to go somewhere she has been trying to take me for over a year now. To our dismay, they of course were closed… 🙂

But this took us on a nice stroll around downtown, snapping pictures and taking in the dandy conversation of a brisk & chilly winter morning. We stumbled upon the cutest place, LOZA Wine and Crepes! We had to try it! This cunning establishment is located in an old converted downtown bungalow. They have done such a beautiful job beautifying and adorning the entirety of the front patio with the most scenic/aesthetic corners and spaces to enjoy their delicacies in. Our waitress, Isabel, even brought us blankets to keep warm and offered us more if we desired. So cozy!

With a very unique menu offering, they have items from dumplings to pizza to sandwiches, and of course as mentioned in the name, they have crepes as well!

I indulged in the Breakfast Avocado Crepe, it was a wonderful combination of an eggy breakfast, fresh veggies, and savory. Danielle chose the Oven Roasted Turkey Spinach Pesto Crepe. She let me take a few bites and it was perfectly delectable. I would love to be able to replicate something like that to serve as a homemade meal. Maybe a kitchen adventure to come……? 🙂 We also ordered a “dessert” off of their Sweet Menu, the Strawberry Butter Delight Crepe, to share! You can never go wrong with strawberries, YUM! Today I wanted to mention, don’t be afraid to try something new. Get out in your own “backyard” and find those places in your immediate area that you’ve been missing out on. Support small businesses, family establishments, and entrepreneurs. Get to know your neighbors, your waitress, say hi to “passerbyers”, maybe listen to the story that they may even try to tell you. Guarantee: we each have so much to give and so much to be given, in this respect of learning and growing. You may find those places and/or people that bring your heart to it’s most content and happy place. What are your favorite places? a restaurant? a nature spot?
